Setting Up AOL with Niagara Internet Connection

Using your Niagara Internet account you can access and sign on to your existing AOL account without dialing their number. Follow these easy steps and you're on your way.

Note: This tech document assumes that the AOL software is installed on the local computer and that the user has both an AOL account and their system is configured to connect to Niagara Internet.

 

  1. Launch your AOL software and click on the SETUP button (at the bottom of the sign-on window).
  2. Click on the Edit Location button.
  3. Under the "Network Setup" dialog box that follows, remove the phone numbers (both of them), click on the drop-down "Network" list and change it from AOLnet to TCP/IP.
  4. Click the SAVE button to keep this setting, then choose OK from the "Network & Modem Setup" dialog box that follows.
  5. Your AOL software is now configured!
  6. Now connect to Niagara Internet using your normal method. Once you establish a connection to the Internet.
  7. Choose SIGN ON from the AOL sign-on screen.
  8. Enter your AOL username and password.

Note: You will need to change your AOL billing plan to reflect your connection method.
